The History of Europe includes the period 1789 – 1991

After learning topics the student will be able to:

  • Explain different events, developments of XIX and XX century.

  • Place events happening in France, Great Britain, Italy, Germany, Austria-Hungary, Russia, Balkans, USA in their historical context.

  • Explain reason, effects and consequences of historical changes as revolutions, world wars, conflicts(French Revolution, Napoleon Epoch, liberal revolutions in France, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Germany, Commune of Paris, WWI, WWII, Cold War)

  • Compare the policies followed by statemen of Europe, estimate the role played by leaders, their achievements and their faults.

  • Present and analyze arguments for political and economical changes in Europe, Russia (USSR) and USA.

  • Learn problems of the past for understanding problems of our days.

  • Plan, organize and present long essay and historical investigation.

Objectives Form 2

After learning the following topics the student will be able to:

  • explain different event, developments and achievements of Europe, Russia and USA before the WWI.

  • Have more knowledge for historical figures, politicians (Bismarck, Willson, Lloyed George, Lenin, Stalin, Roosevelt) and their role in history.

  • Explain the couses and consequences of the WWI, policies of Bolsheviks and the boom in USA

  • Estimate the role played by leaders, their achievements and their faults.

  • Present and analyze arguments for political and economical changes in Europe, Russia(USSR) and USA.

  • Learn the problems of the past for understanding problems of ….. days especially dictatorial regimes and wars.

  • To plan organize and present an individual historical investigation.

After learning the following topics the student will be able to:

  • explain different events, developments of XIX century

  • place events in their historical context

  • have more knowledge for historical figures, politicians and their role in history.

  • explain the causes and effects of historical changes in Italy, Germany, Russia, Balkans during XIX century.

  • evaluate problems of Europe during Industrial Revolution

  • present and analyze for political changes of some European states especially France

  • compare the policies followed by statesmen of Europe

  • learn problems of the past for understanding the problems of our day.

  • plan, organize and present a group historical investigation.

History Project

HOW TO CREATE A SUCCESSFUL PROJECT IN HISTORY

  1. First of all, you have to form groups of 4 to 5 students each.
  2. Finding and gathering information about the topics related to the project, given by the  teacher.
  3. Division of work among the students,in which everyone has to prepare his/her subtopics.

STEPS OF THE PROJECT

  1. First page should include only the title of the project and an appropriate picture in it. view
  2. Second page should include the subtopics of the theme and the location of them in its pages. view
  3. Summary: You should shortly write what you are going to talk about in the project. view
  4. Background: In this section, you should write the information needed about each topic. view
  5. DO NOT COPY-PASTE from the internet. HEAVILY PUNISHED!
  6. You should include photos, pictures, curiosities related to the theme given. ex1. ex2. ex3   
  7. If your project is about an outstanding political figure, you should write about his childhood, his activities, background etc. ex1 ex2 ex3         
  8. Furthermore you should write a short conclusion about the theme, about the whole project, if you liked it or not and the work in group.
  9. References and the members of the group. view
